Here you can find how to modify SB Live! sound cards for use
with APS drivers.
Last update: 18.4.2000 - link on Analog Out added. Analog In/Out with Live Drive II. Thanks Pigi!
Update history:
9.2.2000 - mistake corrected
7.2.2000 - warn of mistake in player info
6.2.2000 - new design of web pages
I found possibility to hear the analog sound from your SB Live!
Through the rear channel audio connector !
Go around picture of APS master strip for more information.
So good luck and I will be working on analog input ..... he he
he. Sorry, but it is not possible because SB Live! use AC`97
codec for analog inputs and outputs. It converts all input to one
digital stream and send it to EMU. In opposite the APS board not
use AC`97 codec. I don`t have APS board but it looks like that it
use standard AD converter (I2S format). So you must connect
external AD converter ! Or you can made yourself someone.
I wish you a lot of experiences !
I allready have EEPROM content. So, ignore this:
Do you have SB Live! Platinum ? Could you read the EEPROM on
it (U9 - standard 93c46 eeprom)? Pls send me e-mail.
