There is no CT8910DAS on Player 1024. So first modification for Value can`t be used. But principle of second modification is clear for Player 1024 (CT4830 was tested) !!!

Modification 2 for Player 1024

You must redirect the two signals from EMU chip to UDA1330 DA converter. The signals are LRCLK and SDATA. First lift up pins 2 and 3 of IO UA1330 (or cut wires on PCB) and then connect pin 9 from EMU chip with pin 3 UDA1330 and pin 11 from EMU to pin 2 UA1330 (You can solder wires on two resistors R71, R72 - both signals feeds through these resistors. On the UDA1330 side you can use two pads close to chip).

Then you must connect SYSCLK input of UDA1330 (pin6) with Pin 12 of EMU10K1 (it is SYSCLK signal in APS mode). Lift up pin 6 of UDA1330 ( or cut wire on PCB). You can use pad close to C76 and pad close to ACī97 codec (U5) for soldering new wire.

* - cut wires on other side of the card (recomended)

** - lift up pins (very complicated and dangerous for pins !!)

green lines - wires in case of cutting PCB

red lines - wires in case of lifting up pins

That is all !!

Now you can use Analog Out 1&2 choice and hear sound from rear channel conector on SB Live!

You can use this connection with SB Live! drivers too, but from rear channel you will hear very distortion sound. Front channel will play normal.
