Note: the rest of the lesson is identical for AOL 3.0 and 4.0 users. Only the lesson you just read on page one is different. You can access the FTP account in AOL 4.0 the same way as in AOL 3.0, by using the keyword button and typing in "my place". But the method I showed you is a little faster and easier for AOL 4.0 users. Aol 3.0 users must use the KEYWORD button.

Tip: AOL 4.0 users, when you see the above screen, add it to your Favorites and you can just click on it in your favorites list and go directly to this screen. Because of the dumb way that AOL set up favorites in AOL 3.0 you can not bookmark it in AOL 3.0.

If this is the first time you have ever accessed your members.aol.com account you will see this same screen (only the AOL README USER FAQ's file should be there).

This step is optional but I suggest you create a directory to keep things organized in your "my place" directory. If you want to do this, click on the CREATE DIRECTORY button.

Now type in the name you want to give this directory where you will be storing your eBay pictures. My unimaginative suggestion is, ebay. Note: keep things simple and stick to all lower case letters. Click the CONTINUE button after typing in the name.
Click OK on the confirmation screen. And then click cancel or the X in the upper corner of the REMOTE DIRECTORY NAME window if it is still open.
