After the file transfer is comlpete you will see this window. Click OK.

Your file is now uploaded and ready to use for your eBay auction. The trick now is knowing what the URL (the internet address) is of your picture. In my example it will be:

http://members.aol.com/kruggles/ebay/saucer.jpg

Yours will be similar. Instead of kruggles you will use your AOL account name and depending on if you elected to make the ebay directory, or one with a different name, that is what you will use. Also, remember that if you will be inserting a picture using the PICTURE URL box in the eBay auction form, you do not include the http:// part of the URL. If you will be inserting a picture (or multiple pictures) using HTML (click here to learn some HTML at Pongos) in the DESCRIPTION BOX you will use the following HTML code:

<img src=http://members.aol.com/kruggles/ebay/saucer.jpg>

Remember....the URL is case sensitive. This means that if you have upper case characters in your user name or the image file name, you must type it in exactly the same way as it is in your URL. And there should be no spaces in the URL.

You are ready to place a picture in your eBay auction at this point. The next page is optional reading. It will explain how to go back and delete the picture files and/or the directory (ebay). You will need to delete the picture files to free up space so you can add pictures later for other auctions. (You do need to keep the picture uploaded for the duration of the auction). Remember that you can have 5 different user names with AOL and each user name can have a seperate members.aol.com account. (It might get confusing with 5 user names, but it is there for you to use). At 2MB's per account you get a generous 10MB's of storage space for pictures, programs, web pages, etc.
