Now, for some information about her:
True Name: Erin Kendell
S.
Occupation: Student/Musician
Height: 5'1"
Weight: Approximately 105 lbs.
Hair Color: Dark Blonde
Eye Color: Green with brown flecks
Dress: Casual, varies, but always very nice.
To give a description as to how Goldenhar Syndrome has affected her life, I'll list the various symptoms that Erin has. She has scoliosis, the right half of her jawbone is missing, her chin is receeded, she has fairly crooked teeth, her nose is abnormally flat and has scars from surgery when it was repaired, she has hardly any sense of smell (according to her, if something smells awful, she tends to taste it), her right ear was higher than the left, she is nearly deaf in her right ear, her right eye was higher than the left eye but that also was fixed with surgery. The only thing is you can see a slightly larger gap between her eyebrow and eye. Her tongue has a form of cerebral palsy (I can't think of the exact name for it). Another thing about her tongue is that she can't really stick it out very far. The tip barely passes over her lips. Also, her lips were at one time abnormally wide. This was corrected with surgery, also, but you can still see the scars.
Why, you ask, have I devoted a section of my website to this seemingly odd, deformed girl?
Well, she is, to me, truly a person with the purest of soul. That doesn't mean she's perfect, and does what is proper all the time. It means, she is what I see as someone to learn from. She's lived with constant verbal abuse from others. She's dealt with being ostracism. She has found that someone can love her (me, although, she doesn't seem to realize that). I am amazed at her ability to cope with problems. She does have her downfalls, like ever other person. She's, well, not the best communicator when it comes to sharing her feelings, so don't go off thinking that she is absolutely perfect.
So, if you'd like to learn more about Erin, or, if you'd like to correspond with her, please go right ahead and email me here at my private email. I'll put you into contact with her, or answer your questions.
