File List Creator Updates

Many users had made a lot of great suggestions which helped me to make the program better. So I think its a good idea to keep you updated what I am thinking while developing the program. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know. I'll try to implement them. If it's nothing major, you should see an updated beta version here within a week or so. So come back often.

Important

You must install current release first, then replace the "FLC.exe" with the new  "exe". The beta versions are not fully tested, so use at your own risk. There is nothing to worry about it though, you can always replace the beta with the released one.

1. Added "Update Selected" in treeview popup menu.

2. Added "Enqueue" in File list popup menu. (Add selected to Winamp's internal playlist)

1. Added file attibutes for files other than "mp3".

2. Now scans system and hidden files.

Added "Include Disk Label" option. Now you can add disk label to file path when create lists. So you can tell which disk the files are located at. Only works for lists broken down by folders.

1. Added treeview(directory tree) popup menu.

2. Now when you start a new data file, double click on a folder,  sub folders will be display in the listview(where the files are shown). You can select (Shift or Ctrl key) only the folders you want to scan, drop them into the folder list box to scan them.

v1.2.61 (11/23/99)

1. The "Update" feature didn't work quite right, now it's fixed.

2. Added feature, now you can filter out duplicates when you create your list. A check box is added in the options, check it if you want to get rid of duplicates in your list, uncheck it if you don't. The default is unchecked. It's kind of slow if you have a huge collection. This is how it works, if you have two identical files in your collection and one of them is on a CD, most likely it will show the one on the CD.

1. Improved the "Update" feature, now you can select the folders you want to update instead of wasting time to scan all your hard drives.
Click on the "Add" button to add folders or drives you want to update to the folder list box, then hit the "Update". That's it. If you moved your files around, please update the entire drive unless you know where they are. Otherwise the file count won't be accurate.  This is only experimental, I am thinking about to add it to "Options" window.

2. Now you can add as many folders as you want when you use the Drag and Drop feature.

3. Added a  "Cancel" feature while scanning. So if you have a bad disk, you don't have to use the "Ctrl + Alt + Del". It's not a big deal, but I think it's absolutely necessary.

4. Added a "Select All" feature in Popup menu in the main window.
