The Machine starts to take shape....

I have been working on 3 areas of the project at once this month. (13th March 1999)

The 48v Sub Power Supply, Uniselector drivers & Computer

1st bit...

the exchange sub - power supply contains the following.
it "ramp starts" the ringer machine to max speed within 1 second.
it also supplies 24v / 3a power for relays and 12v / 3a power for logic, signalling oscillators and audio amplifiers via switch mode bucking regulators pictured on the right hand photo.

2nd bit...

the Uniselector switching is a slightly modified circuit of the one i used to "ramp start" the ringer machine minus the (2.2uf/63v) ramp capacitor. all of the uniselectors and the ringer machine are MOSFET switched and are opto coupled ready to be controlled by the HC05 Motorola processors. Most of the components for this area are still in the bag :)

3rd bit...

Ive been doing the groundwork for the bits n pieces ill need to run the processor. the operating system for the exchange will need to operate with windows95 so the machine i am building will be a top speed 486 or sim. still searching for the processor. It also makes a nice home for the ringing machine.
