| Chocolates New Friend |
Chocolate was sitting still watching all the other toys play. It was 3 O'Clock in the morning and Jenny was fast asleep and all the toys could have some fun. The only thing was that Chocolate was feeling a little left out, for he was the only Teddy Bear that Jenny had. He liked being the only Bear but some times he wished Jenny owned another Bear so that he could have someone to talk to in Bearese. Chocolate gave a big sigh, closed his eyes and went to sleep. Later on that day Jenny came home from school and rushed up to her bedroom and picked up Chocolate. She looked at him and said " Come on Chocolate we are going out." Picking him up Jenny ran out of her bedroom and down the stairs and out into the garden. Once there she got into her Fathers car and sat in the back seat with Chocolate on her lap. Chocolate had never been in a car before and it was very exciting for the little Bear. Jenny lifted him up so that he could see out of the window. Chocolate had never seen so many people before. All the time Jenny was wispering in Chocolates ear. " I know a secret, I know a secret." Soon the car came to a halt and Jenny and her Father got out of the car and Jenny put Chocolate on the back seat saying. " Now stay there like a good Bear, we won't be long." Chocolate was left sitting on the seat and he was so excited that he almost tried to climb up and look out of the window. But he didn't for he knew that he must not break the rule that people should never see a Teddy Bear move. | ||||||||||||||||

After what seemed ages The car door opened and Jenny and her Dad got back in the car. Jenny was all excited and and was talking non stop to her Dad. She was saying " Go on Dad help me. What shall I call him, Please help me," Jenny's Dad chuckled and said, " That I'm afraid is up to you, why don't you ask Chocolate when you get home, I'm sure he will help you in picking a good name." Jenny said " SHOOOSH Daddy Chocolate doesn't know yet and I want it to be a surprise for him." Chocolate was very puzzled at this and he could hardly wait to get home to see what this suprise could be. All the way home Jenny sat Chocolate on her knee and wispered in his ear. " I know a secret, I know a secret." By the time they drove up the driveway of their house in Woodland Road Chocolate was gettiong tired of hearing this and he was glad to get home. Jenny climed out of the car and taking Chocolate with her she went round to the back of the car. Once there her Father opened the boot and reached in and took out a parcel all wrappd up in brown paper. Jenny took this parcel and tucked it under her other arm and ran inside the house. Once inside she ran upstairs and into her bedroom. She sat Chocolate on the bedside table and Jenny said to him. " Well Chocolate are you ready for a big surprise. Yes. Well OK then here it is." Jenny picked up the parcel and started to unwrap it. Chcoclate watched very carefully as the paper peeled away. Inside the parcel there was a brown fuzzy shape but Chocolate couldn't see what it was for Jenny had her her back to him. Suddenly she turned around with a big grin on her face. Chocolate still couldn't see what she had in her hands for she held them behind her back. Jenny said " Now Chocolate close your eyes and don't open them until I tell you to. Chocolate did as he told and very soon Jenny said " OK then you can open your eyes now!" Chocolate opened his eyes and there before him held high in Jenny's hands was another Teddy Bear. Not only was it another Teddy Bear but it also looked exactly like Chocolate himself, but only bigger. | |||||||||||||||||

To say that Chocolate was surprised was an understatement. There in front of him was a larger version of himself. Jenny walked over to him and said " I hope that you two are going to be the bestest of friends, now come on and say hello to each other." Taking the other Teddy Bears paw she pressed it into Chocolate's paw and shook their paws together. Jenny picked up Chocolate and put him and the other bear sitting together on the bed. "Now to think of a good name for you" Jenny said, "MMMM What can I call you, how about big ted, No that wont do. Come on Chocolate give me an Idea won't you." Chocolate of course said nothing and both he and the other Teddy sat still. From downstairs came the voice of Jenny's Mum. " Jenny it's time for your tea so come on down and get it while it is hot." Jenny turned and ran out of the room and downstairs to get her tea. When she had left Chocolate turned his head and looked at this other Teddy Bear, smiled and said " Hi, my name is Chocolate, What is your name?" The other Bear looked at Chocolate and said. "Hello Chocolate, I am very pleased to meet you. I can't tell you my name yet for I have not been given one as yet. I got a real surprise when I saw you for look exactly like me but just that little bit smaller. I am sure that we will be great friends." For the next 30 minutes both Chocolate and the other Bear talked and became close friends and by the time Jenny came back they were like brothers. Jenny came running in from downstairs and picked up the other bear and said " Guess what, I had Treacle Pudding today, so I think that I am going to call you Treacle." Looking at Chocolate she said, "Well what do you think of that name then Chocolate?" Chocolate just looked and said nothing. "Right then" Jenny said, "Thats it settled I shall call you Treacle." Later on that night as all the toys were playing Chocolate and Treacle were huddled up together and whispering to each other. From that day onward Chocolate was not lonely and he always had his bestest friend to talk to, Treacle. | |||||||||||||||||
