Teddy Bear Tales and Story's
Cake and Chocolate don't mix!!
It was a sunny Saturday morning and both Chocolate and Treacle were sitting in their little deckchairs in the back garden. Jenny was laying out a big blanket on the grass and beside her was a box full of cakes a lemonade. Jenny was singing a song and there was a big smile on her face. The reason she was so happy was that to-day her Daddy was coming home after being away for two weeks. Because of this Jenny thought it would be a good idea to have a lovely picnic for him on his return home. Both Chocolate and Treacle were watching Jenny very closely and although they could tell that she was all excited they didn't know why. Jenny was putting out on the blanket a big scrummy looking Chocolate Cake. At the sight of this Chocolates eyes almost bulged out of his head. There was only one thing he liked better than chocolate to eat, and that was Chocolate Cake. Treacle knew what was going on in his little friends mind and he whispered to him out of the side of his mouth.

"Don't you dare move Chocolate, if you do you will break the rule that people never see us Teddy Bears are alive and can move." Chocolate just sat there and watched the every move of Jenny with one eye and the other on the Chocolate Cake. Jenny suddenly stopped singing and said " OH dear I have forgotten the cake knife, how will Daddy be able to cut the cake without it." Jenny turned and ran into her house. Chocolate turned his head very slowly indeed, so slow that if any one was watching they would not see the movement. As he turned his head he could see that the Chocolate Cake was only a short distance away from him. The only thing was that Treacle was closer to the cake and the little bear knew that he would never get close enough to the cake as long as Treacle was close by. Thinking quickly Chocolate toppled over, only as a Teddy ear can, and fell onto his face.

Treacle just looked down at Chocolate and gave a quite growl. Chocolate never moved and just lay there flat on his face on the big picnic blanket. Treacle was wondering what his little friend was up to, but he couldn't think why falling on his face could help him. Before he could come up with a reason Jenny came skipping out of her house holding her Fathers hand. They came across to the picnic blanket and Jenny saw Chocolate face down. "OOO," she said, " Look Daddy Chocolate must be very hungry he's been trying to get at his favourite food, Chocolate Cake!" Jenny's Father just smiled and sat down on the blanket reached out for the cake and started to cut into it. Jenny picked up Chocolate and sat him on her knee and whispered in his ear. " There, there Chocky I know you are hungry, I'll get you a special piece of cake just for you. After Jenny's Father cut the cake He served up three plates with cake on it. One for Himself, one for Jenny and a esxtra big slice for Chocolate. After a while Jenny's father and Jenny got up and went into the house and Jenny left Chocolate sitting right up close to his piece of cake. A soon as they were out of sight Chocolate fell forward and fell face down right into the piece of cake. By the time Jenny came back out most of the cake had been eaten and Chocolate was covered with chocolate cake but he had a big smile on his face.
