VB CD Events Components consist of two separate ActiveX controls, VBCDEvents and VBAudioCDEvents, designed to provide notification of arrival/removal of CDs from the CD-ROM drive. VBCDEvents provides notifications whenever a CD, of any type, is inserted/removed from the CD-ROM drive while VBAudioCDEvents provides notification whenever an audio CD is inserted/removed from the CD-ROM drives.
There are a couple of known problems that applies to both controls as at current release:
If two or more instances of either ActiveX control is placed on the same form, it will fail to work.
If VBCDEvents ActiveX Control is used together with VBAudioCDEvents ActiveX Control or vice versa, one of them may fail to work.
I would like to stress here that I would like very much to distribute this ActiveX control as freeware but due to my financial circumstances, I have no choice but to collect payment for commercial usage of my ActiveX control. My father is the sole breadwinner for the family and my mother is unable to work because she suffers from shocker's foot (I may have quoted the medical term wrongly but it sounds something like it.) as a result of diabetes. I have just graduated from polytechnic (in Business Studies) and have to enlist for national service(NS) for 2.5 years soon. Hence I cannot start working. What's more is that I am the only child. Hence there is heavy financial burden on my father to support the whole family. Even as I write this manual, I am still waiting for a temporary job while waiting to be enlisted. I hope you will be able to understand my situation.
