Perkins's TINY JavaScript Experiments
(among other innovations)

May 1999

Howdy y'all, here are some waaay cool status bar message rollovers with buttons and images that I made in Paint Shop Pro. Run your mouse over the images and see what pops up on the status bar at the bottom of your window screen. Bear in mind that since I've taken only ONE HTML class to completion, I'm still a relative beginner, though not an absolute one.

That's why I'm keeping my JavaScript (JS) experiments very, very small. Teeny tiny,in fact (Do I sound like Gilda Radner here?). I guess ya'll could call this pee-wee league JS stuff, huh? I sure wish I were ready for major-league JS stuff like two-state button rollovers!! I tried creating one last week on page two with NO luck at all!!! I guess it's too soon for me to attempt such a major undertaking.

After all, one has to crawl before s/he can run, right? Yesterday, I read somewhere that one has to take at least THREE HTML 4.0 classes AND two other advanced classes before one can take even a basic course in JavaScript. Do y'all agree with this? Let me know what you think on my message board, which can be found on page three of this web site.

Well, the mystery word is "fewmet"...nope, it doesn't mean the obvious...a few people met. Not that easy..it's a word that may have come from mythology. Is that hint too subtle? Does that whet your appetite for more? If so, read more about this on page two. :-)
