So what is Licq ?
LICQ may mean Linux ICQ, but is is not an official product of Mirabilis. I already had an ICQ number from when I was using Win 95, which I still use with LICQ.
I have tried several ICQ clones for Linux, but LICQ suits my need just fine. LICQ will do just about everything you can do with the real ICQ including file transfer, keyboard chat, send messages etc. I think ICQ is one of the best things to have been introduced to the internet in recent times. We can all have keyboard chats with relatives overseas for the cost of a local call. Yes I know there are things such as "Internet Phone" and the like, but without ICQ, we would not know (easily) when our friends and relatives were on line at the same time as us.
I'm sure most of you out there already know what the Win 95 version looks like, so why not take a peek at LICQ ?
