Hello boys and girls of all ages! Hope all of you are well because I'm sick of people trying to tell me how to run my own site. This isn't a normal site. It's about a dead system, and run by a busy guy. Correction, it's not run. This isn't the type of site that's run. I just put stuff I up that I enjoyed making, and that I think will bring a laugh to others. I never promised that this would be an updated site. If I want to update it five times a day or update it once a year, that's my business. I've never cared about "hits" or the "nes community." My site was always just the one in the corner that a few people really enjoyed and the rest ignored. But I don't care (well once I did), I only care about having a laugh and doing my work, and this page dosen't take a big priority in my life. Will there be updates in the future? Yes. Will there be many and will they be soon? No. If you want an updated page, make one. I'll even help you.

Anyway, on a totally different subject, I thought a few of you would be interested in seeing exactly what I look like, since I basically hide under the anonimity of this really cool moniker, The Ogre Hombre. Well here you are. Guess which one I am (hint: I'm a big mother fucker).

Halloween '98!

Dosen't this face just sceam helpful civil servant?

"unless you have a better site, shut your mouth!"
                      -crazynesdan

Words of wisdom there from CrazyNesDan. Well I continue to bring stuff over from the AOL directories, and clean up those pages at the same time. Adding new stuff, fixing typos, new gif's etc.
The Links Page has been updated and the fat has been cut.
And the Collecting Section has two new big additions. A section saluting those groovy Unliscenced games and a section for those really cool Nintendo Game Packs from 1989. If you don't know what I'm refereing to then its time for a visit to the collector section.
In other news, has anybody been following Ebay lately? The first issue of Nintendo Power is going for $50.00! I don't know if you all out there know this, but there are more copies of the first issue of Nintendo Power than any other issue (this is because they were free, Nintendo wanted to hook all their Nintendo Fun Club members). It's not the rarest issue.
Also watch out, there are people out there selling issue of the old Nintendo Fun Club Magazine, saying they have copies in "EXCELLENT" condition or "MINT", but they have scans of the books right there and they are by no means mint. Be careful of what you buy.
Also I'm in a good mood. I beat Metal Gear: Solid the other day, and that has to be one of the greatest games ever, if you don't have a playstation, go and try it out for this game alone,  it's fantastic. A great update of an old NES game.

Well folks, here we are. A brand new year, and a brand new home for the Planet: NES.  First of all I'd like to thank Octopooki for the space, at his wonderful little corner of the web, Brinstar.com. For those of you visiting for the first time, a brief introduction is in order. I am Alan, better known around the net as The Ogre Hombre.  I am a full time student at Fordham University, so you will excuse me if this page isn't updated often. This page has been up for a year over at AOL and basically lived in obscurity achieving only a few hits a week (I'm also blackballed by yahoo for some reason or another). If you enjoy collecting Nintendo stuff and you like your humor weird then this is the place to be. You'll find I have an insatiable love for the 80's and really enjoy making these wild an trippy animated gif's. For my few but devoted followers who are coming back I'd like to say I hope you enjoyed the classic Planet: NES, because this is going to be even better. This is still going to remain the most original Nintendo site out there. There will be no codes section or any other crap which can be found on any other page.
This page basically disappeared off the net during this summer. I was too busy with my job as a reading teacher, and then my trip to Ireland and England. And then with the start of College, my job as a tutor and being in training to be an Emergency Medical Technician, I put the site on the backburner. But since I've been on the horrendously long winter vacation I've decided to bring it back.
There's been loads of changes here, almost too numerous to mention. First of all, I got this brand new unlimited domain to work with, therefore there's not going be any need for space. And since there gonna be no more need for space, I've put up a whole load of animated gif's all over the place, including this "What's New?" gif that's looking at you right now. I've also updated the music, as you're probably listening to some cool tunes right now.
Just about all the pages themselves have been updated to this new blue box format I've got working now. I did it to make the whole place a little bit more co-ordinated and add to that professional look I've always wanted to attain. The front page got a major work over as did the whole collecting section which I want this page to be about. I've cut out all the old news on this page because since I'm at a new place I might as well make a fresh start. You can still see the old what's new page as an archive file, but hey, why would you want to?
There's a new letter in Mailbag section that's basically cursing me out for not updating. I thought that was cute. I just love it when people with too much free time whine to me about myself not having any free time.
In the weeks to come I plan to have a scanner, in which I will really get things rolling for the Collecting section. I have so much stuff to scan such as cards, unlicensed games, magazines, etc. I'm also in the process of figuring out CGIforMe's messageboard (I've got an account, I'm just having troubles getting the blasted thing to work). And I might, just might, make one or two more fights, and try and bring some closure to that little idea.
