Abducted girl freed, youth arrested

FARIDABAD, Jan 27 - A girl of a nearby village, who was abducted allegedly by a youth in November last year, has been found by the police. The girl had been staying at a village of Gautambudh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.
According to police sources, Mahavir Singh of Dayalpur village had lodged a complaint with the police at Ballabgarh town on November 23, last year that his daughter had been abducted by Arun, alias Raju of Ghaziabad. The police conducted several raids.
The girl has been handed over to his family and the youth arrested.
In another incident, Gulab Singh of Lohagarh village was 'assaulted' with an axe by Shyam Singh in a payment dispute. The victim has been admitted to the local Civil Hospital in a critical condition.
