Bid to molest woman

Three persons allegedly tried to molest a housewife when her husband was away at work during night at a farmhouse outside Badli village of the district.

A district police spokesman said today that Santosh, wife of Ramavatar, hailing from Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, was sleeping along with her children when Randhir of Jafarpur village and Vikram and Hansu of Badli entered the room and tried to sexually harass her. The trio fled after she raised an alarm. The police, however, arrested the accused and registered cases under Sections 354 and 452 of the IPC.

Three arrested on molestation charges

(Rohtak, February 1) The Bahadurgarh Sadar Police on Wednesday arrested three men on the charge of molestation of a woman - the wife of a farmhouse chowkidar - under the Badli police chowki jurisdiction.

The police registered a case under sections 452 and 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Randhir Singh of Jafarpur, Vikram and Hansu, both of Badli village, on the complaint of the victim.

She alleged that the trio trespassed into her one-room tenement on Tuesday night.She was alone. The accused resorted to obscene acts and tried to outrage her modesty, she said in her complaint.
