Bank looted in Jhajjar district

ROHTAK, Sept 24 — An amount of Rs two lakh was looted at gunpoint from a bank at Chhara village in Jhajjar district today. According to police sources, three unidentified armed persons came to the branch of UCO Bank in the village at about 1 p.m. this noon. While one of them stood outside, two others who had revolvers in their hands went inside and asked the cashier to hand over the cash to them. They threatened to shoot if anybody tried to raise the alarm. It is reported that the youths after collecting the amount of about Rs 2 lakh escaped on a two wheeler vehicle parked outside. The whole incident happened in less than 10 minutes. The police has registered a case.
