Buffalo thieves strike in Rajli village

HISAR, April 1 — A group of 12 thieves stole 12 buffaloes, besides other house hold items from the house of Babir Singh at Rajli village in Barwala tehsil. Balbir Singh, said he and his family was sleeping at their farmhouse when the thieves armed with sharp-edged weapons attacked their house and tied them up to the cots. They took away 12 buffaloes in a truck besides some cash. He alleged that the police was not taking any action. He said his son Joginder approached the police post at Suryawala and Hansi, but nobody turned up. Villagers have threatened to block the Hisar-Chandigarh highway if the police failed to trace the buffaloes.
