The Tribune, January 25, 2003 Another held in gold heist case Ambala, January 24 Sonu told the police that he went to Delhi after the incident and sold 14 tolas of gold. He was paid about Rs 49,000. From there he went to Madhya Pradesh where he stayed with his relatives. The police had conducted the raids in Bhopal. The SP said Sonu had formed a gang in Madhya Pradesh. The gang members included Ram Kumar alias Bunty, Imran, Ravi, Kailash and Ram Chander. The gang members had bought two country-made pistols in MP. They were planning to loot a goldsmith in Sihor, an electric shop in a village and a bank in Bairagarh near Bhopal. Mr Doon said now two of the four gang members were absconding. “We will arrest them soon. Our teams are tracking them down,” he said. |
