Candidate murdered in a Village election

SONEPAT: The Rai police on Sunday arrested Rakesh of Liwaspur village for allegedly murdering Ajit Singh of the same village on March 20. Mr K.P. Singh, SSP, said Ajit Singh along with his elder brother, Surinder, was returning from Bahalgarh when Rakesh, his brother Yogesh and their father Dharampal stopped him. Ajit Singh was allegedly stabbed to death by Rakesh in a bid to take the revenge for opposing them in the recently held gram panchayat elections.
