Liquor shop staff robbed of 5.5 lakh

HISAR, Jan 24 — Four car-borne armed men robbed Rs 5.50 lakh from the employees of a liquor shop in front of the State Bank of India branch in Hansi town, about 26 km from here, today.
The armed men also fired and injured one of the employees of the theka who has been admitted to the Civil Hospital, Hansi.
According to sources, three employees of the shop came in a jeep to deposit the amount in the bank. Two of the assailants remained in the car while the two others stood in front of the bank.
As soon as Nand Kishor, one of the employees, with money bag reached near the bank, the two assailants tried to snatch away the bag. When they failed to snatch away the bag, one of them shot at him. When Nand Kishor fell down they took away the bag and escaped in the car.
The police has registered the case under Section 394 of the IPC on the complaint of Nand Kishor. Mr Ramesh Verma,SDM, Hansi, also visited the spot.
