in Haryana arrested in Delhi

The Tribune, February 16, 2005 Desperate gangster, aide held New Delhi, February 15 Yashvir was involved in
at least 21 cases of murder, attempt to murder, robberies, dacoities in
Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Acting on a tip-off that
Yashvir would be coming to Sarita Vihar to meet his associate on February 8,
and accordingly, the sleuth nabbed him while he was coming in a motorcycle.
Based on this tip-off, his associate Ved Prakash was nabbed from Sarai Kale
Khan on February 10. During interrogation, Yashvir disclosed that he was recruited as a constable in BSF in 1991 and later dismissed since he had provided fake certificates. He also said that he and Ved Prakash waylaid a Santro car at Jhira Ghati National Highway in Madhya Pradesh and killed one K. K. Jain, a jeweller. After killing him, the accused looted Rs 25 lakh and 86 kilograms of silver from his possession and disposed his body. |
