A ROBBERY attempt at a leading jewellery shop was foiled by the quick and bold steps of two young sons of the owner of the shop in the evening today. According to the eyewitnesses, two persons entered M/s Mohini Jewellers at Old Railway Road, Gurgaon and asked the owner's son Manish, aged 23 and Amit, 18, of Ram Lal to show them the latest jewellery. After a little while, the criminals told the sons to hand over all the jewellery otherwise they would kill them. The criminals were reportedly carrying one revolver. At that time, just Manish and Amit were present in the shop while their father and other workers had gone to the market for some work. In stead of being terrorised, Manish and Amit decided to face the criminals. One of them kept the duo busy promising them that he would soon show the jewellery while the second son informed the police. In the meanwhile some neighbours reached the shop. Finding the neighbours at the shop, the sons asked them "to catch the criminals'' and soon they together overpowered the criminals. The police also reached the spot and arrested the duo. Further investigations are on.
