Industrialist, wife murdered
KARNAL, Sept 19 (PTI) — Unidentified assailants yesterday murdered an industrialist and his wife and seriously injured their two sons and a servant here late last night in Sector-13 of the urban estate.
According to Superintendent of police Ajay Singhal, dacoits believed to be five to seven in number, probably entered the house from the main gate and brutally murdered Jaswinder Suchdeva (43) and his wife Neelam Suchdeva with sharp-edged weapons in their air-conditioned bedroom. Mr Singhal said that all the culprits were armed with sharp-edged weapons and iron rods. After killing the young couple, they entered the adjoining bedroom where their two sons Sorab (16) and Gaurav (14) were sleeping.
The injured brothers have been admitted to Apollo hospital, Delhi in a critical condition, while the servant Sushil was admitted to Karnal Civil Hospital, he added.
