GURGAON: The city's leading jeweller, Satish Jain of SS Jewellers was shot dead and his young daughter injured last evening around 9 pm when they were returning home in their Maruti car after closing the showroom. While Satish Jain died in a Delhi hospital, his daughter, injured in the arm, is stated to be out of danger. According to the driver, someone hit the rear screen of the car with a stone and fired from a revolver indiscriminately, hitting the deceased in the head and his daughter in the arm. A few months ago, some youths had entered Satish Jain's house in Mianwali colony forcibly and tried to steal a bag of cash. They had fired at him and his brother. No one was injured. Satish was to appear as the main witness in the case on the earlier incident.
