'Kachha banian' gangsters held

ROHTAK, Nov 28 — The Rohtak zone police, which covers the four districts of Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonepat and Panipat, claims to have solved two major cases of crime committed by the 'kachha banian' gang.
According to a press note issued by the zone police headquarter here, a majority of members of the dreaded gang have been arrested. They had been responsible for the killing of several innocent persons at Jhajjar and Panipat in October this year.
According to the police, the crime was committed by members of a nomadic tribe with origins in UP and new active in the Yamuna belt between Poanta Sahib and Agra.
