'Kachha baniyan' gang kills 3 in Panipat
PANIPAT, Oct 16 (PTI) — Three persons were murdered and six others injured by members of "kachha baniyan" gang at three different villages of the district last night and escaped after looting cash and jewellery from the victim's houses. The Police said today that a gang of 10 persons reportedly clad in "kachha baniyan" first struck at Nanera village at midnight and attacked Ram Dhan with iron rods. After injuring him seriously and taking away valuables, the gang moved to Jalmana village and raided the house of Champat, the police said. Champat and his son Ramphal were attacked with iron rods and axe by the gangsters killing them on the spot. Later, they entered the house of Sardara and after injuring him and his wife Kela Devi they decamped with cash and ornaments from the house. After that they entered the house at Adri village in the wee hours and killed Angoori, the police said adding that her head was chopped with an axe. In this incident Srishagwan and his wife Sheela were also injured. This is the third incident of the attack and robberies by the gang in this district within a month. Only yesterday the gang had killed two persons and seriously injured nine others at Jhajjar.
