Kidnapped Doctor Brutally Killed and Burnt
Karnal: On 31st December, last year, Dr. Girish was kidnapped after being taken out of his home on some pretext.
His kidnappers asked for a ransom of Rs. 5 lakhs. But even after having got it, they killed him, burnt his body and dumped it in some fields.
The incident has sent shock waves throughout the city and people gathered in a show of strength and shops remained closed. Policemen were stoned mercilessly and groups of people collected at Dr. Girish's residence.
The NH-8 was also blocked for some time by angry mobs. SSP and other police officers are looking into the matter to try to get to the assailants.
