CASE REGISTERED: The Rai police has registered a murder case against Sandeep, a youth of Bad Khalsa village, following a report that Samunder Singh, whom he had allegedly assaulted with a knife, succumbed to his injuries at Jaipur Golden Hospital in Delhi on Monday. Sandeep is still at large.

BODY RECOVERED: The Kharkhauda police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified man from the canal near Sisana village, about 25 km from here, on Monday. The police believe it to be a murder case. A case has been registered.

ARRESTED: The police has arrested three youths Anil Kumar, Sube Singh and Balwan, alias Baloo, on the charge of liquor smuggling and seized 16 bottles of country-made liquor and 30 liquor pouches from their possession. Cases under the Excise Act have also been registered. This was stated by Mr Paramjit Singh Ahlawat, SP, while talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday.
