1 shot dead near STD booth

One person was reportedly shot dead by some assailants in Line Par Colony of Bahadurgarh here late last evening. According to information, an unknown person contacted Sanjay, son of Mukhar Singh, and asked him to come to an STD booth situated in the colony immediately. Sanjay along with his brother Anil left home to meet him. As they approached the PCO booth, at least six heavily armed attackers showered bullets on both the brothers. Sanjay received six bullets and died on the spot while Anil was rushed to the Civil Hospital with three bullets in his legs. The Line Par police have registered a case of murder against nine persons on the complaint of the injured.

The assailants have been identified as Jasbir of Badli village, Chand and Sandeep of Kulasi village, Surender and his nephew Manjeet of Jasaur Kheri village, Karambir of Jakhoda, Joginder of Jatwara village and Neelam, sister of Jogi. Neelam had reportedly accused Raju, brother of the deceased Sanjay, of murdering her brother Jogi last year. OC
