Minor girl raped, killed in Gurgaon

On the pattern of minor girls' rape and murder in Bahadurgarh, a minor girl was allegedly raped and murdered by unkown miscreants in village Sikanderpur Badha around 7 kilometres away from here. The girl's body was discovered today morning from village Nakhrola.
According to Subhash Chand, a resident of village Sikanderpur Badha, his nine-year-old daughter Poonam as usual went to her school situated in the village on September 22. But in the afternoon Poonam did not return from her school. The girl, a third standard student, was traced everywhere in the village and nearby area but to no avail.
Today in the morning, the body of Poonam was found in a field of nearby village Nakhrola. It appeared that she was first raped and then strangled to death. Her underwear was found missing. There were also signs of bleeding from her private parts.
The police has lodged the FIR against the unknown culprits and started the investigation. But no clue has been traced till late evening.
