2 booked for murder

SIRSA, Jan 17 - A man along with his son killed the father-in-law of his daughter for prompting her to ask for share in her father's property at Salamkhera village of the district. According to the information received today, Sher Singh and his son Gurpal Singh shot dead Gamdur Singh of Phulomutana village and cut his body into pieces when he had come to his village from Kolkata. Gamdur Singh was the father-in-law of Binder Kaur, daughter of Sher Singh. Gamdur Singh had a small piece of land and was unable to survive on it. He had gone to Kolkata with Binder's husband, promising to call her there soon. They had reportedly started pressurising her to ask for a share in her father's ancestral property. Both Sher Singh and Gurpal Singh have absconded. The body has been sent for autopsy.
