Farmer killed over loan dispute

 Sirsa, January 17 HT Correspondent SATPAL, A farmer and resident of Jodhkan village in Sirsa district, was kidnapped and killed by another resident of the village and two accomplices over a loan dispute on Thursday. Satpal’s brother, Rajinder, who was accompanying him when the incident took place stated in his complaint that the trio, led by Dalbir Singh, kidnapped Satpal when he was returning home from his field. They took him to Dalbir’s house and stabbed him to death. Dalbir allegedly wanted to take revenge for the humiliation after he failed to return the Rs 70,000 he had taken from Satpal. The police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the three accused.
