Army man booked for raping minor

HISAR, Jan 18 - An Army man was booked for allegedly raping a minor at the local cantonment yesterday. According to a complaint lodged by the girl's father, one of his colleagues had raped his 10-year-old daughter when she was alone in the house. The suspect lived in the same colony. Meanwhile, the police seized 2,200 pouches of illicit liquor at Hansi, near here, last evening. According to the police, Raj Kumar, a resident of Hansi, was found carrying the contraband in a Tata Sumo coming from Barwala road when a police party, on a tip-off impounded the vehicle. Raj Kumar was nabbed on the spot while the driver managed to escape. HISAR HELD: The police nabbed a criminal Jai Prakash from Kagsar village on Tuesday and recovered a country made pistol of 0.315 bore and seven live cartridges from his possession.
