A six-year-old girl was admitted to the civil hospital here on Thursday in an unconscious condition after being allegedly raped by a 20-year-old youth Pinku at Tajpur village in this district. According to a report, the alleged culprit who was a neighbour, took the girl with him and thereafter raped her at a deserted place. The girl was referred to the PGIMS at Rohtak for treatment. The police have registered the case and launched a hunt for the culprit.

According to another report, a 30-year-old housewife Mrs Asha of Kundli village who had undergone treatment in a private hospital for abortion died. The police have registered the case and sent the body for the postmortem examination. Meanwhile, another housewife Mrs Geeta (23) of Rohad village was admitted to the local civil hospital on Thursday after being poisoned by her husband and in-laws in the house. She has alleged that her husband Rajpal and in-laws forced her to drink milk mixed with poison. Thereafter her condition worsened and she was rushed to the local civil hospital by her parents. The police have registered the case. However, no arrest has been made in this connection.
