POPPY HUSK: The district police on Tuesday arrested a person and recovered 110 kg of poppy husk from his possession. According to the police, Malkiyat Singh, a resident of Ludhiana, was allegedly carrying the contraband from Rajasthan in a Maruti car when a police team, on a tip off, arrested him near Chaudhariwas in the district and recovered the contraband from the vehicle. The Sadar police has registered a case in this regard.
