Nakoda incident: Hooda seeks probe
Tribune News Service
CHANDIGARH, April 15 — Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda, MLA and President of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee(HPCC), has demanded an inquiry into the incident of alleged harassment of one Mr Amolak and his German wife by some miscreants at the Kala Titar tourist complex at Nakoda village in Sirsa district last week. An HPCC press note, quoting Mr Hooda, stated that from the statement of Mr Amolak, published in the press, it appeared that the culprits had the backing of the ruling party. " Instead of offering justice to the suffering couple, they are being pressurised to withdraw the complaint, which makes the role of the police suspicious", the statement said. Mr Hooda said that if such an incident could take place in the home district of the Chief Minister, the law and order situation in the rest of the state could easily be imagined.
