Undertrial flees

ROHTAK, March 24 — An undertrial facing several criminal charges, including murder, escaped from police custody here last evening.
According to information, the accused identified as Vijay, alias Pappu Gaba, was being brought to the local jail after being produced in court at Gohana when he made his escape.
He was facing prosecution in connection with a murder that took place in Baroda area of Gohana in 1994. He was arrested last year.
A case under Sections 222, 223, and 224 IPC, has been booked. The policemen accompanying him have been arrested.
