2 highway robbers arrested

With the arrest of two persons, the Murthal police today claimed to have busted a gang of highway robbers operating in this area for the past few months. According to a report, the arrested culprits were identified as Anand of Bhainswal village and Jatinder of Dewru village. The police recovered a stolen motor cycle, a country made pistol and two live cartridges from the arrested persons. The police has also launched a hunt to apprehend a criminals, Shyamla, who is wanted in this case. Shyamla is already involved in the cases of murder and theft. The police has registered a case of theft against them which was committed on January 26 on the premises of the Santsai Ashram, near Bhigan village, in the district.
