5 Bawarias arrested

The district police has arrested five dacoits who made farmhouses their targets. The dacoits belonging to the Bawaria tribe have confessed before the police that they looted more than ten farmhouses during the last three months and killed one.
Senior Superintendent of Police Khushi Ram Dahiya informed that the police party led by Crime Investigation Agency Inspector Uday Singh, arrested Amar Singh, Bachhu, Kawar Pal, Itwari alias Tiwari and Pappu near village Dhankot when they were making a plan to loot a farmhouse there last night. One gang member Ratiram succeeded in fleeing.
Kawar Pal and Itwari are real brothers whereas other members of the gang are supposed to be close relatives. There are ten members in this gang who generally operate in Gurgaon. They live in different colonies of Gurgaon.
This gang attacked Shiva Farm House in village Chandu, West Field Farm House in village Ghari Harsarup and Kishore Farm House in village Ghari Harsarup in December last year injuring seven persons. They attacked a house in Surya Vihar, a colony in the heart of the city in January this year and injured two brothers Rajesh Singh and Nihal Singh. Rajesh Singh received a bullet in his chest, but managed to survive.
In February, they attacked a Ashram on Pataudi Road and injured two persons including a woman. They attacked more than three farmhouses in village Chandu in March and killed Bindhesar and injured three persons including a woman.
The SSP said that there were three gangs which used to attack farm houses in this area. One gang, consists of around ten to twelve youth is active in Delhi, and another gang of the same strength is active in and around Rewari.
All these three groups belong to Bawaria tribe, the SSP said adding that they use country-made revolver, iron rods, chains and lathis as their weapons. They also snatched ornaments which the women were wearing.
The police have recovered one country-made revolver, chains and iron rods from the arrested gang. Khushi Ram Dahiya said that they would soon arrest the remaining members of the gang.
