Sarpanch shot dead

ROHTAK, Oct 4 — Hansraj, a sarpanch of Mandotli village in Bahadurgarh subdivision of Jhajjar district, was shot dead allegedly by four persons yesterday.
According to police sources, the deceased was on way to Bahadurgarh. Mr Umed Singh, who lodged the complaint with the police, identified two of the alleged assailants as Sanjay, son of Om Prakash, a resident of the same village, and Devender, son of Ramphal, a resident of Tandaheri village in Jhajjar district.
