Temple robbed, priest thrashed

Faridabad, January 9. Armed youth barged into a temple complex near Hodal town in the district last night and fled after looting Rs. 12000 in cash and injuring the priests. Three persons have hospitalised. According to reports, the incident took place at Narayan temple, located near the national highway, about 60 km from here. Armed with fire arms, and crude weapons the gangsters assaulted the priest in sleep. The accused reportedly snatched the keys of the donation boxes and decamped with the cash under the cover of darkness. Krishan Dass, Dhanpat and Raj Snehi, who work here as priests, were injured in the assault. A case has been lodged.
