In-laws face dowry rap

The Rai police have registered a case of dowry harassment against the husband and four other members of the in-laws family on the complaint of Savita, a woman of Maqimpur village in the district. According to a report, the woman stated that she had married to Vinod, resident of Shastri Colony, Sonepat, about five years ago and since then she was being harassed and beaten up by her husband Vinod, father-in-law Randhir, mother-in-law Bimla, husband’s brother Arun and husband’s sister Rajni. She also alleged that she was forced to bring a motorcycle and Rs 50,000 for installing a flourmill, but she declined and thereafter she was ousted from the house. The investigation is on.
