Youth shot

Three unidentified persons shot a youth and injured another at Barsi village, about 40 km from here, last night. The injured was admitted to a private hospital at Hansi, near here. According to reports, Kuldeep Singh and his friend Daya Nand — both residents of Barsi village — were returning to their village from Hansi on a motor cycle. When they reached near the village, three motor cycle-borne persons stopped them and asked them to hand over their motor cycle. When Kuldeep Singh said no to them, one of them took out a pistol and fired at him. Kuldeep Singh (22) died on the spot. The assailants also attacked Dayanand. They later fled from the spot after snatching the motor cycle.
