Open the graphic You want to use, or right click and save this one
Hit Shift D to make 2 copies, 1 for the background, 1 for the selections graphic, close the original
If you want to just make the graphic using the selections You can skip the background part
Background Tutorial Part
Select one of the graphics go to Effects/Plug-in-Filters/and Select the FM Tile Tools/Seamless Tile
Select Vertical unchecked/ then OK
Repeat FM Tile Tools/Seamless Tile/ Vertical checked/ OK
Add a new layer/ Layers/New Raster Layer
Flood Fill this layer with white
Select the Layer tool and reduce the Opacity to around 50%
Then Layers/Merge all Flatten
Open a new Graphic/ 1024 x the height of the graphic You are working with/Background Color Transparent
Now we want to flood fill this background with the muted image
Select the Styles/Pattern and scroll to your muted graphic
Now flood fill the large background image with the seamless/muted graphic
This is what You should have now (reduced in size on this tutorial)
You can now minimize the small muted graphic, We are finished with it
This completes the Background Image, We will use this background for the next steps applying the selections
Layered Selections Graphic
Now take the other Graphic we duplicated earlier
Take the Selections tool/ Ellipse selected
Find the center point of your graphic and select to almost the edges
Now leave the selections active as we are going to use again
Go to Edit/Copy
Select your full background graphic
Then Edit/ Paste/as New Selection to the full background graphic
Now move the selected part and line up on the background
then Effects/plugins/FMTile Tools/Blend Emboss with these settings
Then Effects/3D Effects/ Drop Shadow, using the below settings
Again Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings
Then Selections Select none
this should be the first selection and it's finished
While The selections is still selected on the main graphic/ go to Selections/Modify/ Contract as below
Now do a copy and paste of this selection and paste it to the full background
Lining up the second selection so it matches with the first one
repeat the Drop Shadow using the same numbers from above, remember to do the Drop Shadow twice using the Plus and the minus settings
then Selections none
On this Second selection I don't do the FM Tools Blend Emboss( You can if You would like to )
Final Selection, Repeat the above steps/ selections/modify/Contract (25)
copy and paste this final selection to your background, line it up with the other selections
Now Do the FMTileTools/ Blend Emboss as we did above to this selection
then do the Drop Shadow twice as above/ using the plus and minus settings
