Plugins for this tutorial
Open the graphic You want to use for Your tiling background
For the seamless effect it needs to be 100 x 100 or 150 x 150 or 200 x 200
I used 200 x 200
Using the selection tool select an area 200 x 200
Go to Edit/Copy
then Edit/Paste as new image
Now select Effects/Plugins/Mura's Seamless Tiling with Shrink
Use the following settings
You can use as is or for added effects go tp Effects/Plugins/Simple/Diamonds
Click OK
You should now have a image like this
Enter Shift D to duplicate
Select the duplicated image and go to Image/Mirror
You should now have an Image2 with a mirrored effect
Select Image2 and Edit/Copy
Then Select Image 1 and Edit/Paste as New Layer
Now open Your layer pallet and select the layer and change the opacity to your liking
This is the effect I ended up with using the opacity above
Save this as a .jpg file and You can use for a background for your stationery and it will be seamless
You can also add a layer to this. Flood fill with white, lower your oapcity to the desired effect and save if You want a more muted effect
