It's a flimsy holder, and if you use the stylus a lot the holder may loosen its grip. The most common solution is to add a single layer of scotch tape around the rings at the end of the stylus. Some thin heat-shrink tubing will also work. If you're brave, you can take open up your Pilot and add a layer to the inside of the holder. If it bothers you badly enough, you can send your Pilot to USR to have it fixed. They seem to have redesigned the holder and offer it as a "fix" to those who request it.

The new PalmPilot has the "fixed" stylus holder, so this shouldn't be a problem for new Pilot owners.
